Singhealth Collective Agreement 2019

Note: The 2018 collective agreements all expired on March 31, 2020. We can expect that a new set of collective agreements will be developed and that agreements may take longer than usual because of the current pandemic. Care is one of the professions strongly supported by trade unions and the Health Services Union (HSEU) has been assiduously committed to the remuneration of carers in the form of collective agreements with the three integrated public health centres: Singhealth, NHG and NEHS. The salary ranges below are based on HSEU`s agreements with NNHS, SingHealth, NHG and NTUC Health Co-operative. The agreements with LESNHS, SingHealth and NHG came into effect from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2020, while the agreement with NTUC Health Co-Operative is in effect from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022. In accordance with the 2018 collective agreements, nurses` salaries are the same in the three integrated clusters. It makes sense from a public order point of view. The Health Workers` Union (HSEU) has entered into agreements on the remuneration of nurses in various health groups and institutions, including the National University Health System (NUHS), SingHealth, National Healthcare Group (NHG) and NTUC Health Co-Operative. Compared to the average starting salaries of graduates in 2019, entry-to-care salaries actually pay better for ITE and Polytech graduates. Based on HSEU agreements with NUHS, SingHealth and NHG, the maximum weekly working time for nurses is 42 hours for the regular position, 40 hours for a rotating position and 38 or 40 hours (depending on the hospital) for the permanent night shift. Collective agreements give a well-defined evolution of the career of a caregiver. Registered nurses start as nurses and ride through the clinician, educator or manager track.
